About The SONGS
What do movie scores, Chopin and McCartney have in common? Well, in addition to the twelve notes, they were the inspiration behind the melodies on the 8th album "Best Kiss Scenario" by Berry Lefthand. And of course, the inspiration was combined with impressions from many other sources.
With versatility spread across the album, the melodies vary in styles from pop over folk to classical music. The arrangements range from acoustic and bare to experimental and symphonic inspired. And the percussion parts were influenced from all around the world.
When I was growing up, there was always music playing in the house. From my brother’s rooms, rock bands like Deep Purple, Sweet and Slade filled the air. My mother listened to radio stations during the day with hymns and old folk songs. And my father preferred instrumental versions of a wide variety of songs, arranged for orchestras like Bert Kaempfart, Herp Albert and especially James Last. And off cause to all of this I added my own favorite musicians and artists.
The feelings and the emotions behind each of the melodies have given the tune its title.
This album is dedicated to my father.

As a gift, I wrote this tune for my Grandmother on her 80th birthday.
